Description:
Cornell University Library celebrates the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth with an exhibition titled “The Lincoln Presidency: Last Full Measure of Devotion.” This exhibition, on view until April 16, 2010 in the Carl A. Kroch Library, features the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collection's spectacular treasures documenting Lincoln and the Civil War era. On display will be Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, the Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution signed by Lincoln and members of Congress.

The Samuel L. Hirshland Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, during regular viewing hours. Check Web postings for updates at www.library.cornell.edu.

This exhibition is made possible by a grant from the Nicholas H. Noyes, Jr. Memorial foundation. Cornell’s copy of the Gettysburg Address was the gift of Nicholas H. Noyes and Marguerite Lilly Noyes.
